Perhaps helped by Monty Don's memorable TV series, last year's tours to gardens of Venice & the Veneto, Sicily and Tuscany were all well subscribed. Careful selection of hotels and gardens, superb tour leading by Italian Garden specialist, Helena Attlee, and personal introductions and invitations from Villa & Palazzo owners prompted superlative comments from travellers. We have great pleasure in launching 2 new Italian Garden tours for 2012: 'Gardens of the Tyrrhenian Sea', including La Mortella, in April; and 'Roses & Nightingales', Gardens of Lazio & Umbria, including in May. Those preferring not to fly should find our 2 new British garden tours of interest: 'New Light on Cornwall' features gardens not generally found by those attracted by the more famous gardens. Dorset’s timeless air of sleepy isolation holds its secrets well: 'Far from the Madding Crowd...' showcases an array of exquisite, little-known gardens, many linked to a plethora of small manor houses hidden away in that county.
