Calvados & Alsace

Domaine de Windeck
Successful Research Trip
Sue has just returned from a very rewarding reconnaissance of 2 new areas of France for 2014 tours. David Wheeler was bowled over by the riches found in Calvados, now looking forward to sharing the experience with Hortus readers. Leaving David in Paris, Sue travelled to Colmar & Obernai and spent a hot but productive few days confirming a new and very inspiring garden tour of Alsace. 2013 has been a good year for French garden tours; 2014 may prove even better...

Autumn Garden Tours
sold out and Country Life 'Gardens of the French Riviera' with just 2 rooms to sell, travellers are finding the idea of visiting gardens in September an attractive proposition. Be sure not to miss The Lakeland Collection, late summer borders set amongst mountains of the English Lake District russet with bracken.

'Back to Back' Autumn Tour Offer.
We hope that the Boxwood offer of train, flights & taxi transfer with 4* accommodation including 2 nights in the heart of Dublin will enable travellers to enjoy 2 tours 'back to back': an entire fortnight of late summer gardens in 2 exceptionally rich garden locations: the English Lake District and Ireland, Dublin & Wicklow.
