Season 2014 Shaping Up....

New Locations & Old Favourites
Harold Peto's Iford Manor
This time of year is always interesting: researching, visiting & planning new tours for the forthcoming new season. As well as new tours of Calvados & Alsace previously mentioned, it looks as though the Piedmont region will be the setting for an early season Italian tour, with Tuscany a strong possibility for September. Gardens Illustrated are looking for a tour of Bath & Somerset, with Iford Manor, Lady's Farm, Ridley's Cheer, Special Plants the core of a rich new garden tour. For those who missed the highly successful Country Life tours of Gardens of the French Riviera and Provence, gardens editor Katherine Bradley-Hole is requesting new season repeats for those who missed out this year, as well as a possible Welsh Borders tour in September. Stephen Anderton is looking forward to taking The Times readers to visit a wealth of Summer Gardens of Suffolk. Gardens Illustrated are also interested in a September tour of the Heart of France to include the Courson garden show, leaving scope for a late summer Boxwood Tour of the Gardens of Shropshire.

Autumn Garden Tours
With 'Hortus goes to Upper Normandy' sold out and Country Life 'Gardens of the French Riviera' with just 2 rooms to sell, travellers are finding the idea of visiting gardens in September an attractive proposition. Be sure not to miss The Lakeland Collection, late summer borders set among mountains of the English Lake District russet with bracken.

'Back to Back' Autumn Tour Offer.
We hope that the Boxwood offer of train, flights & taxi transfer with 4* accommodation including 2 nights in the heart of Dublin will enable travellers to enjoy 2 tours 'back to back': an entire fortnight of late summer gardens in 2 exceptionally rich garden locations: the English Lake District and Ireland, Dublin & Wicklow.
